🏕️ Real-Life Use: What It’s Like on a Camping Trip

Set-up: Super simple  once I understood. Just plug the intake hose into any freshwater source (lake, stream, etc.), plug in the outlet hoses, press the button, and it starts pumping and filtering on its own.

Speed: It’s not overly fast and I didn’t time it, but the speed wouldn’t put me off.

Taste: I didn’t really notice a difference in taste between tap water, filtered water or Evian from the bottle.

Experiments: I tried filtering some fizzy pop Agrum to turn it into water and it actually did. There was no lingering Agrum taste, just pure clean water which I thought was amazing.

Convenience: We often rely on campsite tap water, which may contain contaminants like lead, arsenic, or sediment, especially in older plumbing systems across rural France. So I often also buy bottled water to supplement with. This was a great way to replace the bottles but still have clean water.

This device runs on two built-in 6000 mAh batteries, rechargeable by USB-C. One full charge gave us a few days’ worth of use. You can even pair it with a portable solar panel for complete off-grid water access although we tended to use our power bank to recharge.

Although it’s around 6 kg, the handle makes it manageable to carry around the site. For a fully portable RO system, we were impressed by its size and design.
