Best Yelloh! Village Campsites for Families in France [2026 Edition]

We love Yelloh! village campsites. In the last couple of years we have visited over ten different Yelloh! village sites and can hands down say they are some of the best campsites we have ever stayed at. Often we will book directly but have generally found that booking a Yelloh! village through a tour operator like Eurocamp has given us some of the best deals imaginable.

What Makes a Yelloh! Village ‘The Best’?

Yelloh Village! is one of the most prominent outdoor hospitality companies in Europe. They have over 100 high-end campsites across Spain, France and Portugal and they focus on providing a premium, family-friendly holiday experience.

Yelloh Villages are a franchised network of independently owned campsites meaning each village is owned and managed by an independent professional, but they all operate under the unified Yelloh Village brand and adhere to its strict quality charter. Which means they have:

  • High quality facilities (especially for families)
  • Variety of accommodations (camping pitches to luxury cottages)
  • Prime Locations (near beaches, city centres or in nature)

This is different to companies like Eurocamp who rent pitches on Yelloh! Village (and other) campsites, to market to their guests. I explain it in more detail on my camping holiday providers blog post.

Top Yelloh! Villages for Families with Children (with links to our full Yelloh! Village reviews)

Le Pin Parasol

This exceptionally clean and well maintained Yelloh Village is located in the Vendee region of France and offers guests a wide range of incredible 5* facilities. Le Pin Parasol was one of the most family friendly resorts we visited this year and we loved that they provided something for everyone. It is split into two distinct zones: the “Sensations” area, which is more lively and family-focused, and the “Nature et Sens” area, which is calmer and more luxurious.

This 5* campsite is located in the Dordogne just a few minutes from Bergerac and its airport. This Yelloh! Village is highly rated as one of the best for its clean facilities and family friendly atmosphere. We loved the small slides, perfect for young children and the amazing lake and its activities.

Les Fontaines

Yelloh! Village Les Fontaines is a much-loved campsite located near Lake Annecy in France. With an exceptional location and scenery Les Fontaines makes a great base for exploring the Annecy area. Whilst it isn’t a lively resort like some other Yelloh! Village sites we have stayed at, it offers a calm, laid back stay.

Yelloh! Village Ranc Davaine, located in the Ardèche region of France, is a solid choice for families looking to explore this gorgeous region of France. La Roche Posay

Yelloh! Village Camping La Roche Posay is a charming and well-maintained campsite in the Vienne department of France, highly praised for being an ideal destination for families with toddlers. We found this to be the most perfect site for our nearly 2 year old and loved the friendly atmosphere on-site.

Le Lac Des Trois Vallee's

This sporty and nature based campsite blew us away. Yelloh! Village Le Lac des 3 Vallées is a highly-rated campsite in the Gers region of France, praised for its beautiful natural setting and vast range of family-friendly activities and we couldn’t have chosen better. We stayed in a premium camping pitch and found the perfect balance of activity and relaxation.

Bordeaux Lac

Yelloh! Village Bordeaux Lac is a peaceful, rustic-style campsite located just 8km from Bordeaux’s city centre. It offers a unique blend of a tranquil natural setting with easy access to a major city, making it ideal for a city break with a difference. The natural setting will make it hard to believe you’re so close to an easily accessible city.

Best Yelloh Villages For Waterparks

Le Pin Parasol

The aquatic areas at Le Pin parasol are fabulous and there is something for every member of the family. The Sensations area is the home of fun, and at this pool you can find a kids splash park, numerous water slides, pools (indoor and outdoor) as well as rubber ring slides. Nature et Sens is where you go to relax, so you wont find slides here but you’ll find a tropical paradise, adults only spa and plenty of areas (indoor and outdoor) for relaxing.

La Rive

La Rive’s pool complex is insane. There are multiple indoor and outdoor areas, baby, toddler and children’s splash parks, slides, swimming pools, lane pools and an insane amount of different areas to play in. The pirate area with slides and splash is amazing fun for older children whilst the indoor splash pools have always been great for our young ones.

Ranc Davaine

This Yelloh! village has one of the best, largest and most modern water parks out of all of them. Not only are there indoor slides, lazy rivers and swimming pools but there is a massive outdoor complex too. We couldn’t get enough of the slides here and literally spent every day on them.

Sylvamar

This newly renovated pool area looks spectacular with its central volcano and speedy rapids. The slides are great fun but what steals the show for us is the indoor splash area which our young girls absolutely adored.

And a quick mention to Camping les Mouettes and  Camping Mané Guernehué, we have yet to try these gorgeous campsites, but their pool areas look insane, so we can’t wait to add them to our list.

Most Relaxing Yelloh Village Sites

Le Pin Parasol (Nature & Sens Area)

The perk of le Pin parasol and the reason it features in all of our best yelloh! village lists is because it is literally two campsites in one. The Nature et Sens area is a relaxing paradise where we hardly heard a sound., The spa pool area and gym make a great relaxing holiday for families who like to chill.

Pomport Beach

One thing I loved about Pomport Beach was that by 10.30 it was pretty much silent and still. No loud entertainment until midnight, just calm and relaxation. The pool was never overly busy as there was also the lake and guests were spread out nice enough for the site to feel super relaxing.

La Roche Posay

We stayed here with a toddler so we really needed a relaxing break. Whilst there are loads of activities in the day time, they never felt intrusive and we found it a really calm relaxing site

Best Yelloh Village For Location and Scenery

Les Fontaines

Is there a better view than mountains behind your swimming pool? The views here were insane. Literally staring at mountains everywhere you turn and of course it’s also amazing for accessing Annecy and its gorgeous lake.

Like Les Fontaines, I have added this for its mountain and river views. The gorgeous scenery here is hard to beat and if you want to explore the Ardeche and some of the most gorgeous scenery in France, this Yelloh! Village is unmatched.

Lac Des 3 Vallee's

Whilst this Yelloh Village is in a very quiet, rural location, you can’t beat the stunning views orf rolling green hills and pure countryside for as far as the eye could see.We took a lovely walk around the surrounding area and saw gorgeous sunflower fields and had a stunning panoramic view of the scenery. The sunset over the hills is exceptional.

Bordeaux Lac

Whilst I haven’t added this to the list for its scenery, I have added it for its location. Just minutes from Bordeaux city centre, you couldn’t find a better location for visiting one of France’s most romantic cities. We walked to tram station nearby and got a quick, convenient tram into the centre.

Whilst I’m still yet to add it to my list, I couldn’t miss Club Farret out. This Yelloh! village is located on the gorgeous med coast, right on the beach.

How to Book the Best Yelloh! Village for You

We often find that booking a mobile home with Eurocamp much cheaper than booking direct, however when we are camping in our tent we will always book with Yelloh. It’s worth doing your research and seeing what price and quality of holiday home works well for your family.

I’ve been a camping fanatic since a young age. Growing up in the New Forest meant regular camping trips with friends and family to a range of different campsites. In my early twenties I worked on a host of family focused campsites in Spain, Italy and France. Now that we're starting our own family, camping has become an even bigger focus in my life.
