Best Eurocamps for Teenagers: 12 Parcs Compared

Our girls are still little, so we haven’t taken them on a Eurocamp holiday as teenagers yet. This list isn’t a “we did it and loved it” piece. It’s built from the teen club ages, the facilities and what other families actually say about each parc, so you can see past the marketing photos before you book.

The quick answer

If your teen wants their own club and a disco rather than tagging along with the little ones, Alannia Costa Blanca in Spain and La Baume on the Côte d’Azur are the two on this list built most around teens: Alannia has a club just for 12 to 16 year olds, and La Baume has a teen club and its own disco. For the biggest water parks a teenager will actually want to spend all day in, it’s Pra’ delle Torri and Union Lido Mare on the Adriatic, or Duinrell in the Netherlands, which has its own free theme park on site. For older teens who’d rather be semi-independent on bikes and at a beach, look at Park Umag or Aminess Maravea in Croatia.

What actually makes a Eurocamp good for teenagers

Before the list, it’s worth knowing what to actually check, because a parc that’s brilliant for toddlers isn’t automatically good for a 14 year old.

Teen club ages

Look for a kids’ club band that actually covers your teen’s age, not just “kids club, ages 4 to 12” with nothing above it. Several parcs on this list run a separate club for 12 to 17 or 13 to 17 year olds, with its own activities away from the younger kids, which matters once your child is past the point of wanting face paint and bucket and spade games.

Freedom and safety

A teenager wants to be able to walk to the pool or the shop without a parent trailing behind, and most big Eurocamp parcs are set up for exactly that, with everything within the site boundary and no roads to cross. Still, read the Google reviews for each parc. On some of the busiest parcs, families mention large groups of unsupervised teenagers taking over pool areas in the evening, which is worth knowing before you book if that’s not what you want for your own teen.

Wifi

Most teenagers will ask about wifi before they ask about the pool. Some parcs below only offer paid wifi, so if that matters to your family, check it on the parc’s own listing before you book rather than assuming it’s free.

Evening entertainment

Every parc on this list runs some kind of evening entertainment programme, but it’s worth checking whether there’s anything aimed at teens specifically, such as a teen disco, rather than just a kids’ show your 14 year old will have outgrown.

Watersports

If your teen likes to be active rather than lying by the pool, watersports on or near the parc (pedalos, windsurfing, paddleboards) give them something to do that isn’t just the water slides. Most of the parcs below offer some form of watersports, either on site or on the beach right next to it.

12 Eurocamp parcs that work well for teenagers

We haven’t stayed at any of these as a family with teenagers, since our girls are still young. Where I know a parc from working a season there, I’ve said so. Everything else below is from the Eurocamp listing, Google reviews and what other families have written about each one.

Pra’ delle Torri, Italy

Water slides and pool complex at Pra delle Torri campsite in Italy

I know Pra’ delle Torri from my 2011 season on the Venice coast, and it’s a good one for teens. We haven’t stayed here as a family yet. It’s one of the biggest water parks of any Eurocamp parc on this list, with 4 pool complexes, 13 water slides and a pirate-themed lagoon pool, plus direct access to the beach for watersports. There’s also an 18 hole golf course and go-karts on site, which gives older kids something to do beyond the pool. Google reviewers rate it 4.6 from over 8,500 reviews, the highest of any parc on this page, and reviewers tag it for its aquapark, slides and attractions for children.

Who it’s for

teens who want a big water park holiday with plenty to do beyond the pool, and families who want a parc with a strong track record (4.6 from over 8,500 Google reviews)

Good to know

  • 4 pool complexes with 13 water slides and a pirate-themed lagoon pool
  • Direct beach access with watersports on offer
  • 18 hole golf course and go-karts on site
  • Open late April to late September

Watch out for

  • No dedicated teen club or disco listed, so older teens are mixing with the general kids’ club age range
  • A big, busy parc with 1,500 pitches in high season

Union Lido Mare, Italy

I know Union Lido from my 2011 Venice season too, and it’s another good one for teens. We haven’t stayed here as a family yet. Union Lido Mare has two aquatic complexes with 7 pools and 15 water slides between them, plus a private stretch of sandy beach with windsurfing, pedalo hire and a lifeguard service. It’s rated 4.5 on Google from almost 10,000 reviews, and reviewers tag it for its water park, slides and beach.

Who it’s for

teens who want variety (two separate aquatic complexes) and a private beach with watersports, not just one pool

Good to know

  • 7 pools and 15 water slides across two aquatic complexes
  • Private beach with windsurfing, pedalo hire and a lifeguard
  • Spa and wellness centre on site
  • Open late April to late September

Watch out for

  • No dedicated teen club listed, so teens use the same kids’ club bands as younger children
  • No bike hire listed on site, unlike some other parcs on this page

Playa Montroig, Spain

Aerial view of the pool complex and gardens at Playa Montroig campsite in Spain

I worked a season here in 2013, so I know this parc well, even though we haven’t been back as a family. It has 4 pools and 6 water slides, and it’s a 20 minute drive from PortAventura World, which makes it a good base if your teen wants a theme park day as well as pool time. It’s rated 4.4 on Google from over 6,500 reviews, and reviewers tag it for its slides, pools with slides and spacious plots.

Who it’s for

families wanting to combine pool time with a theme park day, since PortAventura World is a 20 minute drive away

Good to know

  • 4 pools and 6 water slides, plus bike hire on site
  • 20 minutes from PortAventura World theme park
  • Open April to October, one of the longer seasons on this page
  • 4.4 on Google from over 6,500 reviews

Watch out for

  • No dedicated teen club or disco listed
  • No watersports listed on site, unlike the Italian parcs on this page

Alannia Costa Blanca, Spain

We haven’t stayed here. This is one of the few parcs on Eurocamp with a club built specifically for 12 to 16 year olds, on top of the usual younger kids’ club, which is exactly what to look for if your teen doesn’t want to be lumped in with 6 year olds at the kids’ club. It has 5 pools and 3 slides, and it’s about 20 minutes from the coast and roughly 83km from Terra Mítica theme park. Google rates it 4.2 from over 8,400 reviews, with reviewers tagging it for slides, slide pool and activities for children.

Who it’s for

families with a 12 to 16 year old who wants their own club rather than the younger kids’ programme

Good to know

  • Dedicated teen club for 12 to 16 year olds, separate from the younger kids’ club
  • 5 pools and 3 slides, plus bike hire and watersports
  • Open year round, the longest season of any parc on this page
  • About 20 minutes from the coast

Watch out for

  • Wifi is paid, not free, so factor that in if your teen will want it all week
  • 4.2 is a solid but not top rating compared with the Italian parcs on this page

La Baume, France

Pool area at La Baume campsite in Fréjus

I worked a season at La Baume in Fréjus in 2014 (it’s where Mike and I met), and it used to run its own teen disco, which is exactly the kind of thing that keeps a 15 year old happy in the evenings. Eurocamp still lists the parc’s own disco alongside the live entertainment, plus a club for 13 to 17 year olds. It has one of the biggest water parks on this page, with 6 pools and 10 slides across two pool complexes, and the beaches at Fréjus and Saint-Aygulf are about 7.5km away.

Who it’s for

families with teens who want a big water park by day and a disco by night, on the Côte d’Azur

Good to know

  • Club for 13 to 17 year olds, plus the parc’s own disco
  • 6 pools and 10 slides across two pool complexes
  • Fréjus train station is 2km away, and Cannes is about 40 minutes’ drive

Watch out for

  • 3.8 on Google, lower than most parcs on this page
  • Eurocamp says some pitches can hear road noise
  • The beach is a drive, not a walk

Holiday Green, France

Aerial view of the pool and play area at Holiday Green campsite, with the Estérel hills behind

Holiday Green is just up the road from La Baume, and Mike worked a season here in 2014. Like La Baume, it used to run a teen disco. The big draw is the Californian pool complex with 3 large slides, plus more slides by the covered heated pool (6 slides in all). There’s live music and shows at the bar in the evenings, and in July and August a bus runs to the beach at Fréjus. Google rates it 4.3 from over 1,800 reviews.

Who it’s for

families with teens who’ll spend all day in the pool and want evening entertainment, without a long drive to the beach

Good to know

  • A big Californian pool complex, 6 slides and a covered heated pool
  • Live music and shows at the bar, and a lounge bar by the pool in July and August
  • Beach bus to Fréjus in July and August

Watch out for

  • Eurocamp’s kids’ club here only runs up to age 12, so there’s no separate teen club
  • The beach is 7km away, so it’s the bus or the car

Château de Fonrives, France

We haven’t stayed here. It runs a separate club for 14 to 17 year olds on top of the main kids’ club, which is a wider band than most parcs offer. There are 4 pools and 5 slides, plus a treetop adventure course, and it’s about 60km from Walibi Sud-Ouest theme park. Google rates it 4.2 from over 1,200 reviews, with reviewers tagging it for slides, water park and treetop adventure. One family wrote that their “teenage children loved the water slides”, but another said the facilities lean towards “early teenagers and above” rather than younger kids, so it’s worth matching this one to the exact age of your own teen.

Who it’s for

families with teens on the older end (14 to 17), who’ll use the dedicated teen club and the treetop adventure course

Good to know

  • Dedicated teen club for 14 to 17 year olds
  • 4 pools, 5 slides and a treetop adventure course
  • About 60km from Walibi Sud-Ouest theme park
  • 4.2 on Google from over 1,200 reviews

Watch out for

  • No watersports or bike hire listed on site
  • Shorter season, open May to August only

Les Vignes, France

We haven’t stayed here. Les Vignes has its own 13 to 17 club alongside the main kids’ club, plus a water park with 4 pools and 4 slides and a wellness centre, which is unusual for a Eurocamp parc and could suit an older teen who wants to relax rather than just slide. It’s close to the Landes beaches, with bike hire and watersports on site. Google rates it 4.0 from over 2,500 reviews, with reviewers tagging it for slides and a “5-star camping” standard.

Who it’s for

families with an older teen who’d appreciate a wellness centre as well as the usual water park

Good to know

  • Dedicated teen club for 13 to 17 year olds
  • 4 pools, 4 slides and a wellness centre
  • Bike hire and watersports on site
  • Close to the sandy Landes beaches

Watch out for

  • Shorter season, open April to August only
  • 4.0 Google rating is the lowest of the French parcs on this page

Duinrell, Netherlands

The Ferris wheel at Duinrell's free theme park in the Netherlands

We haven’t stayed here. Duinrell is the one on this page that looks most like a theme park holiday rather than a campsite one: it has its own free theme park with over 40 rides on site, plus a huge water park with 21 slides, one of the biggest of any Eurocamp parc. Google rates it 4.2 from over 13,700 reviews, by far the most reviewed parc on this list. One family wrote they’d had teenagers with them and it was “all in all a good stay”, though another mentioned their sons being bothered by a group of teenagers at the play park one evening, so it’s worth reading the recent reviews yourself if that’s a concern.

Who it’s for

teens who’d rather have a theme park and a huge water park than a quiet campsite feel

Good to know

  • Free theme park with over 40 rides, included in your stay
  • 21 water slides, the most of any parc on this page
  • Open April to October
  • Most-reviewed parc on this list, 4.2 from over 13,700 reviews

Watch out for

  • Wifi is paid, not free
  • No dedicated teen club listed, and reviewers mention it gets busy and noisy in the evenings

Kaatsheuvel, Netherlands

Aerial view of the water slides and pool complex at Kaatsheuvel campsite in the Netherlands

We haven’t stayed here. It has its own 13 to 17 teen club alongside younger kids’ clubs, and sits between a national park and the Efteling theme park, just 10 minutes away by road, so it suits a family who wants a quieter site with an easy theme park day for older kids. It has 2 pools and 3 slides. Google rates it 4.0 from 561 reviews, the smallest review count on this page, which fits with it being a smaller, calmer parc than Duinrell. One reviewer mentioned their teenager “loved the sun loungers”, but another said the pool area could get “hectic with unsupervised teenagers” in peak season.

Who it’s for

families who want a calmer base with its own teen club, and an easy day trip to Efteling

Good to know

  • Dedicated teen club for 13 to 17 year olds
  • 10 minutes’ drive from Efteling theme park
  • Sits between a national park and the theme park, so it feels quieter than Duinrell
  • Open April to October

Watch out for

  • Only 2 pools and 3 slides, smaller than the other Netherlands pick on this page
  • No watersports listed on site

Aminess Maravea, Croatia

We haven’t stayed here. It has a wider teen band than most, with its club covering 11 to 18 year olds, and a pool complex with 6 pools and 4 slides plus a spray park. It’s a beachside parc tucked into rolling hills, with watersports and bike hire on site. Google rates it 4.2 from over 3,500 reviews, with reviewers tagging it for its pools, beach and being “well-kept”.

Who it’s for

families with a wide age range of children, since the teen club covers all the way from 11 to 18

Good to know

  • Teen club covers 11 to 18 year olds, a wider band than most parcs on this page
  • 6 pools, 4 slides and a spray park
  • Beachside, with watersports and bike hire on site
  • 4.2 on Google from over 3,500 reviews

Watch out for

  • Shorter season, open May to September only

Park Umag, Croatia

We haven’t stayed here. It has a 13 to 17 teen club, 6 pools and 4 slides across two pool complexes, and direct access to a Blue Flag beach, with watersports and bike hire on site too. The coastal town of Umag is about 12 minutes’ drive away, which is handy for older teens wanting a change of scene. Google rates it 4.3 from over 7,300 reviews.

Who it’s for

older teens who want some independence: a Blue Flag beach on site and a town a short drive away

Good to know

  • Dedicated teen club for 13 to 17 year olds
  • 6 pools and 4 slides across two pool complexes
  • Direct access to a Blue Flag beach, plus watersports and bike hire
  • About 12 minutes’ drive from Umag town

Watch out for

  • Shorter season, open May to September only
  • At 3,036 pitches, this is the biggest parc on this page, so it gets very busy in July and August

When’s the best time to book a Eurocamp holiday for teenagers?

July and August are the best months to book, and not just because that’s when the school holidays line up. It’s when the teen clubs and discos actually run, when every pool and slide on the parc is open, and when there’s the most going on in the evenings. Outside the summer holidays, some of the activities and clubs above may be scaled back or closed, so if a teen club or disco is the reason you’re picking a parc, book for July or August to make sure it’s running when you’re there.

May half term and October half term can still work well, especially at parcs with an indoor pool, but check with the parc directly if the teen club is the main reason you’ve chosen it.

FAQ

What is the best Eurocamp for teenagers?

It depends what your teen wants. For a dedicated teen club and disco, Alannia Costa Blanca and La Baume are built for exactly that age group. For the biggest water park, Pra’ delle Torri, Union Lido Mare or Duinrell. For older teens wanting freedom, Park Umag or Aminess Maravea in Croatia.

Is Eurocamp good for teenagers?

Yes, if you pick the right parc. Look specifically for a teen club age band that covers your child (several on this page run 12 to 17 or 13 to 17 clubs), check whether there’s a teen disco or just a younger kids’ show, and read the Google reviews for mentions of how the parc manages groups of teenagers in the evenings.

What’s the best Eurocamp in Italy for teenagers?

Pra’ delle Torri and Union Lido Mare, both on the Adriatic coast, have the biggest water parks of any parcs on this page (13 and 15 slides respectively) plus direct beach access. I know both from my Venice season and they’re good for teens. Neither has a dedicated teen club, so they suit teens who are happy using the main pool and beach rather than wanting their own club.

What’s the best Eurocamp in France for teenagers?

La Baume in Fréjus, where I worked a season. It has a club for 13 to 17 year olds, its own disco and one of the biggest water parks on this page. Holiday Green next door is a good alternative with a better Google rating, and Château de Fonrives and Les Vignes also run their own teen clubs if you’re looking elsewhere in France.

Does Eurocamp run teen clubs at every parc?

No, not every parc has one. Several of the biggest, best-known water park parcs (Pra’ delle Torri, Union Lido Mare, Duinrell) don’t run a separate teen club, they just have a kids’ club age band and leave older teens to use the main facilities. If a dedicated teen club matters to you, check the parc’s own kids’ club ages before booking rather than assuming.

I’ve been a camping fanatic since a young age. Growing up in the New Forest meant regular camping trips with friends and family to a range of different campsites. In my early twenties I worked on a host of family focused campsites in Spain, Italy and France. Now that we're starting our own family, camping has become an even bigger focus in my life.
