The BEST 15 Campsites for Toddlers and Young children in France

The Top Campsites In France For Toddlers and Young Children

The best campsite in France for toddlers is a campsite which can provide all the facilities that young children need: smaller play parks, toddler pools, splash areas, crawl spaces, and perhaps even a dedicated baby club.

Over the past 4 years, we have been travelling to campsites all over France with our two small children – so we know a thing or two about what families with toddlers NEED on a campsite. So let us get started with our insanely helpful list

From stunning coastal escapes to serene countryside retreats, these Euro camps offer a harmonious blend of natural beauty, family-friendly amenities, and an array of exciting activities. And, of course, they are PERFECT for young children.

1) Yelloh Village Sylvamar, Labenne

Situated on the stunning Landes coast Sylvamar is a well maintained, 5* campsite. It welcomes the entire family with activities for the oldest of children as well as the youngest. For the little ones there’s a comprehensive indoor splash area (probably one of our favourites), child friendly swimming pools, kids entertainment and an indoor soft play, baby area. The best thing is that it is just down the road from the beach, and although the waves can be a little intense, it’s GREAT for digging. It is one of our favourite Eurocamp sites for toddlers.

La Rive, Biscarrosse

Situated on Lake Biscarosse, La Rive offers direct lake beach access. With the peace and serenity of the lake beach and the thrilling aquatic space, La Rive offers its guests a little taste of everything.
For young children, there is a MASSIVE indoor soft play area and 2 indoor splash park areas; 1 for the baby and toddlers and another for the young children. They are situated right next to each other too, so you can keep your eye on all children at the same time. Outside there is an even larger splash area. I actually stayed at this campsite as a solo parent with my 3-year-old and 7-month-old and we found lots to keep us entertained over 2 weeks. In fact, I’d say it was the perfect campsite for our needs. This Eurocamp is perfect for toddlers, babies and older kids too.

In my early twenties I worked on a host of family focused campsites in Spain, Italy and France. Now that we're starting our own family, camping has become an even bigger focus in my life.
