The main pool is heated and the glass roof opens when it’s sunny, so it works in any weather. There’s a lazy river, a fast 3 lane slide and its own sandy beach lake. We booked Disney through the campsite bus too.
Best for families who want: Disney days out and LOADS to do on site.

An indoor pool, a lane pool, a toddler pool, a splash park AND fun, fast slides. The splash park was our favourite. All the pools are heated, but there are no parasols, so take one if it’s meant to be hot.
Best for families who want: A short ferry hop (Ouistreham) and toddlers who love a splash park.
La Chapelle, Argelès-sur-Mer
Easter 2027: from £187.04 (-19% off), arriving Fri 26 Mar 2027
I can’t get over how beautiful the beach is here. The sea is 400m away and it’s the clearest water we’ve ever seen. Our 1 and 4 year old loved the splash park, and the racer slide gives you a speed score at the bottom.
Best for families who want: Flying (Perpignan is close) and not needing a car once you’re there.
La Rive, Biscarrosse

We’ve stayed here at Easter. The outdoor pools weren’t open yet, but the indoor water park kept us busy anyway (lazy river, kids’ pools, slides). The lake beach is real sand, and sunset picnics there were our favourite bit.
Best for families who want: Easter trips, little ones and a lake beach instead of the sea.
Domaine de la Yole, Valras-Plage

Five big slides plus toddler and baby slides. Our 3 year old loved every one of them. The beach is 5 to 10 minutes away through a gate at the back. The swimwear rule is strict here, so pack the jammers.
Best for families who want: Slide lovers and a beach you can walk to.
Saint Avit Loisirs, Dordogne

Home of the Crazy River. There’s a gentle one and a fast one (Mike picked the fast one, obviously). Take your own rubber ring, it’s cheaper than the campsite shop. In May we had the pool almost to ourselves…
Best for families who want: Exploring the Dordogne with a 5 star base to come back to.
