Resort Style Campsites

These sites are big! The choices of resort-style campsites near Biscarrosse was extensive, and it was a tough decision to shortlist these two – however, they were the best-reviewed and rated, and they have such incredible facilities, which you can read about below.

Domaine De La Rive

We stayed at Domaine de La Rive in April and recommend it to families who love a bit of liveliness. There’s plenty of entertainment for children, kids clubs, play parks, a fantastic pool complex, a relaxing private beach/lake (with the most incredible sunset views), and the bar/restaurant is pretty nice too. With easy access to Biscarrosse town and plage, it’s a great place to stay. There’s even a cycle track starting from the campsites main entrance. Available accommodations include pre-erected tents & mobile homes, or you can bring your tent/campervan and rent a pitch. We booked through Eurocamp, but you can also book with Alfresco, Canvas holidays, Homair or direct with the campsite. If you want more information, you can read our full review here.

Yelloh Village Au Lac de Biscarrosse

Like Camping de La Rive, this Yelloh village campsite is set on the lakeshore. It’s another enormous, high-end campsite with another big pool complex. There’s a wellness centre to unwind and plenty of activities on-site and nearby. There are plenty of different mobile homes to rent as well as pre-erected tents and pitches. You can book to stay here with Homair or by booking directly with Yelloh village.

Mid-Range Campsites in Biscarrosse

My Mid-range choices are campsites in Biscarrosse that are slightly smaller or inferior when it comes to size and facilities, but that doesn’t mean they’re no good. These campsites are perfect for people who want a little quieter without being secluded.

Mayotte Vacances

I wasn’t sure whether to categorise this in high-end or mid-range as it’s a beautiful 5* campsite. However, the pool complex is slightly less extravagant than the two high-ends featured, hence why I’ve given it a mid-range rating. Like Domaine de La Rive, this campsite has its own private beach upon the beautiful lake and is surrounded by stunning pine forests. There’s an adult spa area as well as toddler pools and fun slides. Kids clubs are included from ages 3 months up until 17 years old! There are evening animations and a lively atmosphere for the whole family to enjoy. Accommodation on Mayotte Vacances includes mobile homes and pitch rentals, and you can book via Homair, Tohapi or direct with the campsite.

Camping Plage Sud

Away from the lakes and closer to Biscarrosse beach is Camping Plage Sud. It’s a 3* campsite just 800meters from the Atlantic Ocean. It’s great for families who love being at the beach and building sandcastles over the swimming pool. The campsite does have an aqua park, but the complex is a lot smaller than the other campsites featured so far (but that’s also great if you have younger children). In high season the site offers kids clubs and entertainment and some adult animations too, including fitness classes, karaoke, walking and more. Accommodation wise, there’s camping pitches, chalets, mobile homes, canvas lodges and bungalows. Book direct with the campsite or via Suncamp holidays.

Basic Campsites in Biscarrosse

These basic sites are for families who want to avoid the noise, be within nature and have a truly relaxing yet adventurous camping experience. They all include basic facilities but none of the noisy, annoying kids clubs. So if you’re looking for a basic campsite in Biscarrosse, check out these two

Camping Aire Naturelle

For families who enjoy the simpler things in life and use campsites as more of a base than a resort, this campsite fits the bill. This Camping Aire Naturelle is an authentic, family-run campsite situated close to the Hydrobase de Biscarrosse and a half-hour away from Biscarrosse beach. There are just 25 camping emplacements, all with electrical connections. There are communal bbq areas, a playground for kids, and fresh bread on-site in July and August. To book, visit the website and contact the owners directly.

Camping La Pinède

My final pick for campsites near Biscarrosse is this basic and traditional campsite, Camping la Pinede. Another small family run site situated in a quiet village close to Sanguinet and the lake. Be surrounded by nature in the large wooded campsite shared with deers and squirrels. On-site, you’ll find outdoor shared areas for aperitifs and meals, a children’s playground, mini-golf course, ping pong table and more. There’s even a refreshments bar for drinks, ice-creams and fresh bread/pastry deliveries (you have to pre-order the day before). To book, head to the campsite’s website and contact the owners directly.
