The best campsites in Biscarrosse
We stayed at the beautiful Camping Domaine de La Rive, right on the lake in Sanguinet, during our trip to Biscarrosse. If you’re after something different though, here’s our shortlist of campsites nearby for every budget.

Resort-style campsites
These two are big, with the best facilities and reviews of all the resort-style sites we looked at near Biscarrosse.
1. Domaine de La Rive, Sanguinet
We stayed here in April and would recommend it to families who love a bit of liveliness. There’s loads of entertainment for children, kids clubs, play parks and a big pool complex.
There’s also a private beach on the lake with incredible sunset views, and the bar and restaurant are pretty nice too. It’s an easy run into Biscarrosse town and plage, and there’s a cycle track starting right from the main entrance.
You can stay in a pre-erected tent or mobile home, or bring your own tent or campervan and rent a pitch. We booked through Eurocamp and I’d do the same again.
- Book via: Eurocamp
- Accommodation: pre-erected tents, mobile homes, or bring your own and rent a pitch
- Good for: families who want a lively site with plenty on
- Distance: easy access to Biscarrosse town and plage, cycle track from the main entrance
2. Yelloh Village au Lac de Biscarrosse
Like La Rive, this Yelloh Village site sits right on the lakeshore. It’s another big, high-end campsite with a big pool complex and a wellness centre to unwind in.
There’s plenty of activities on-site and nearby, plus a good choice of mobile homes to rent as well as pre-erected tents and pitches.
- Book via: Eurocamp or direct with Yelloh Village
- Accommodation: mobile homes, pre-erected tents and pitches
- Good for: families who want lakeside resort facilities with a wellness centre
Mid-range campsites in Biscarrosse
These are slightly smaller or less flashy than the resort sites above, but that doesn’t mean they’re no good. They’re great if you want things a little quieter without being secluded.

3. Mayotte Vacances, Biscarrosse
We weren’t sure whether to put this one in high-end or mid-range as it’s a beautiful 5* campsite. The pool complex is a little less extravagant than the two resort sites above though, so it lands here.
Like La Rive, it has its own private beach on the lake and sits surrounded by pine forest. There’s an adult spa area as well as toddler pools and fun slides, with evening entertainment and a lively atmosphere for the whole family.
- Kids clubs: ages 3 months up to 17 years
- Accommodation: mobile homes and pitch rentals
- Book via: Eurocamp or direct with the campsite
4. Camping Plage Sud, Biscarrosse
Away from the lakes and closer to Biscarrosse beach is Camping Plage Sud, a 3* site just 800 metres from the Atlantic Ocean. It’s great for families who love the beach and building sandcastles over an aqua park.
The pool complex here is a lot smaller than the resort sites, which is also great if you’ve got younger children. In high season there are kids clubs and entertainment, plus adult activities like fitness classes, karaoke and walking.
- Rating: 3 star
- Distance: 800m from the Atlantic Ocean
- Accommodation: camping pitches, chalets, mobile homes, canvas lodges and bungalows
- Book via: direct with the campsite
Basic campsites in Biscarrosse
These are for families who want to skip the noise, be in nature and have a relaxing, adventurous camping trip. Basic facilities, no kids clubs. If that’s your thing, check out these two.

5. Camping Aire Naturelle, Biscarrosse
For families who enjoy the simpler things and use a campsite as a base rather than a resort, this one fits the bill. It’s an authentic, family-run site near the Hydrobase de Biscarrosse, about half an hour from Biscarrosse beach.
There are just 25 pitches, all with electrical hook-up, plus communal BBQ areas, a playground for kids, and fresh bread on-site in July and August.
- Size: 25 pitches, all with electrical hook-up
- Distance: around half an hour from Biscarrosse beach
- Book via: contact the owners direct on the website
6. Camping La Pinède, Sanguinet
Our final pick is this basic, traditional site in a quiet village close to Sanguinet and the lake. It’s a large wooded campsite shared with deer and squirrels.
On-site there are outdoor shared areas for aperitifs and meals, a children’s playground, a mini-golf course and a ping pong table. There’s also a refreshments bar for drinks and ice creams, plus fresh bread and pastry deliveries (pre-order the day before).
- Facilities: mini-golf, ping pong, communal aperitif areas
- Booking tip: pre-order fresh bread and pastries the day before
- Book via: contact the owners direct on the website
