Booking a Eurocamp is easy once you know how it works. Here’s how we do it, step by step, plus the bits people often ask about: deposits, extras, changing your booking and the cleaning rules on your last morning.
Step-by-step guide to booking your Eurocamp holiday
Booking a Eurocamp holiday is straightforward and can be done online through the Eurocamp website. Here’s what we actually do, step by step, to book our Eurocamp holiday.
Choose your Eurocamp destination
Start with the country and region you want to visit. Browse the full list of campsites and weigh up climate, activities, transport and nearby attractions. If you’re stuck, I can help through my Custom Holiday Planning service.
Select your Eurocamp campsite
Browse through the available campsites and read reviews. Check facilities, accommodation types, and how close it is to the things you actually want to do.
Pick your dates
Check availability for your preferred dates. Being flexible by even a week either side can open up better deals and more availability, especially outside school holidays.
Choose your Eurocamp accommodation
Select the type of accommodation that suits your needs and budget, whether that’s a tent, mobile home, or lodge. Read our accommodation guide first if you’re not sure what the tiers actually mean, Classic, Comfort, Premium and Ultimate all vary a lot in what you get.

Add extras
Consider adding extras like baby kits, equipment rental, or travel packages such as ferry or car hire.
Book and pay for your Eurocamp
Complete the booking process by providing your details and making a payment. You’ll get a confirmation email with everything you need.
Do I have to pay for my Eurocamp holiday upfront?
No, not always. Book by 31 January in your travel year and the deposit is just £99. After that it’s a 25% deposit. You then choose Flexible Payments, where you pay off the balance whenever suits you, or Pay in Instalments, which splits what’s left into fixed automatic payments, both interest-free. The full balance is due eight weeks before you travel for 2027 holidays. Book last minute and you’ll likely have to pay the full amount upfront.
Are there any hidden costs or extras I have to pay for with Eurocamp?
Yes. When booking, your summary will add on the local tourist taxes for the area, usually a couple of euros a day, plus an Equipment Damage Waiver (EDW). Eurocamp’s Know Before You Go page lists it at €17.50, and it covers accidental damage to your accommodation up to €1,000. It’s optional and separate from the cleaning charges. Skip it and you can be charged up to €1,000 for any damage instead.
Do Eurocamp charge a cleaning deposit?
Yes, but not as a big hold on your card the way it used to work. In line with other European companies, many Eurocamp sites now enforce a cleaning deposit through card validation instead. About two weeks before you go, Eurocamp asks you to complete Advanced Check-in and validates your card with a €1 charge.
After your stay they can charge €70 if the checkout tasks aren’t done, €150 if the checkout tasks and the final clean aren’t done, and up to €1,000 for damage unless you took the Damage Waiver. That’s from Eurocamp’s Know Before You Go page, checked October 2026.
Can I amend my Eurocamp booking?
Yes, Eurocamp allows amendments to bookings. You can change dates, accommodation type, or destination, subject to availability. There’s no amendment fee up to four weeks before departure for 2026 holidays, or eight weeks for 2027 holidays.
If you arrive and the campsite isn’t what you expected, it’s worth asking Eurocamp whether a move somewhere nearby is possible. It isn’t always, and it’s near impossible during the summer holidays, so making any changes as early as you can is always going to give you the best shot at availability.
My top tips for booking a Eurocamp holiday
- Book early. Early booking secures the best accommodation, the best parcs, and the early-bird discounts.
- Stay flexible. Flexible travel dates usually mean better deals and more choice.
- Consider off-peak. Travelling off-peak saves money and means fewer crowds.
- Check special offers. Keep an eye on Eurocamp’s special offers page for discounts and deals.
- Join loyalty programs. Repeat visitors should take advantage of loyalty discounts.
- Watch YouTube reviews. Research the campsite thoroughly before you commit. My YouTube channel is a good place to start.
Cleaning at the end of your stay

Do I have to clean my Eurocamp caravan?
Yes, there’s a stricter end-of-stay cleaning routine now. As a mum of two, I know how hard it is to pack and clean by 10am. There are options that make it easier.
For a more relaxed final morning, Eurocamp offers an end-of-stay cleaning service you can pre-book, from £67.31 in 2026 and £73.27 in 2027. Prices vary by location and accommodation type. Some Eurocamp regulars might not love the change, but it’s in line with other camping companies on the continent now.
Cleaning requirements
- Outside France: Only housekeeping tasks required.
- Exclusive/Ultimate Accommodation in France: Only housekeeping tasks required.
- General housekeeping tasks: Follow these basic housekeeping steps:
- Clean and store dishes
- Clean the barbecue
- Empty fridge and freezer
- Strip beds and place linens in a pillowcase on the kitchen table
- Remove all personal items and dispose of rubbish
Additional cleaning (if no cleaning service booked)
- Kitchen: Wipe hob, sink, countertops, cupboards, shelves, drawers, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and oven.
- Shower room: Clean toilet, washbasin, taps, shower tray, shelves, and cupboards.
- General areas: Sweep and mop floors, wipe furniture, and empty bins.
- Outdoors: Sweep decking and clean outdoor furniture.
If your mobile home’s been kept clean through the week, this final clean should take about an hour. Managing it with children and packing at the same time is a different story.
We’ve often overrun the checkout time on our own holidays. If you think you’ll do the same, warn the staff on-site in advance and they can try to reorder their cleaning and checking schedule around you.
FAQs
What happens if I don’t complete the cleaning tasks?
Eurocamp can charge €70 if the checkout tasks aren’t done and €150 if the checkout tasks and the final clean are both missed. Pre-booking the end-of-stay cleaning service avoids this altogether.
Can I pay the cleaning deposit with a debit card?
Eurocamp validates your card with a €1 charge at Advance Check-in, then takes any penalty after your stay if it’s needed. It’s worth checking with Eurocamp directly whether your specific card type is accepted for this, since policies can vary by parc.
Is the Equipment Damage Waiver worth taking?
At €17.50 it covers you for up to €1,000 of accidental damage. If you’re travelling with young kids who might knock something over, it’s cheap peace of mind. If you’re confident nothing will get damaged, you can skip it and take the risk.
How far in advance should I book a Eurocamp holiday?
As early as you can for the best choice of accommodation and the lowest deposit, but we’ve also had luck booking last minute. We booked Domaine des Ormes just two days ahead and got 4 nights for €159, so don’t assume you have to plan months out if your dates are flexible.
