October Half Term For Under £400
October half term is one of my favourite times to grab a Eurocamp. The summer crowds have gone, the prices drop right down and plenty of parcs are still open with heated indoor pools. We’ve done October on a campsite ourselves (Domaine des Ormes, booked 2 days before, 4 nights for €159!) and we spent most of it in the indoor Dome…with Halloween events on too.
How I priced these: most schools in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are off from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October 2026, so every price on this page is the cheapest 7 night stay arriving on Saturday 24 or Sunday 25 October 2026. I checked them all on Eurocamp on 1 October 2026, for a family of four in the cheapest mobile home available. Prices move quickly as parcs fill up, so click through for today’s price.
A lot of parcs close for the season in September, so these are the ones that are actually open for half term. Outdoor pools and kids clubs often wind down by late October, so I’ve leaned towards parcs with an INDOOR pool.
Eurocamps We’ve Stayed At
La Vallée, Houlgate, Normandy
From £344.82 (7 nights arriving Sun 25 Oct 2026)
We stayed nearly 2 weeks here. There’s an indoor/covered pool as well as the outdoor pools and slides, and all the pools are heated, which is definitely needed in Normandy! The weather’s a lot like the south coast of England, so for October that indoor pool is the one that matters. It’s also a short hop from the Caen and Le Havre ferries.
Best for families who: want a short trip from the UK, a covered pool and D-Day beaches for a day out.

Le Chêne Gris, Pommeuse, Nr Paris

If Disneyland Paris at Halloween is the plan, this one is less than 30 minutes from the parks and the train station is right next door, so Paris is easy too. There’s a heated covered pool for the October weather, a splash playground for little ones and a kids club.
I haven’t stayed at these ones (yet!), but they’re open for half term, they come in under £400 and they’re the ones I’d look at for an autumn week.
La Pinède, Les Mathes, Charente-Maritime

The cheapest week I found for half term. It has an aqua park with slides and the beaches near Royan aren’t far. Eurocamp also do dining packages here, which is handy if you don’t fancy cooking every night.
Camping Fabulous Village, Rome, Italy
From £220.65 (7 nights arriving Sun 25 Oct 2026)
A city break and a campsite in one. There’s public transport on the doorstep straight into Rome, so you can do the sights and come back to a pool. October in Rome is still lovely and warm too.
Domaine de Soleil Plage, Sarlat, Dordogne
From £247.38 (7 nights arriving Sat 24 Oct 2026)
A riverside parc where you can canoe the Dordogne, with the medieval town of Sarlat a short drive away. Perfect if your lot like exploring more than sitting by a pool.
Friese Meren, Friesland, Netherlands
From £247.38 (7 nights arriving Sat 24 Oct 2026)
A calm, green parc surrounded by lakes and villages, with an indoor pool. It’s great for cycling and quieter than the big Dutch theme park parcs.
Le Port de Plaisance, Bénodet, Brittany
From £271.53 (7 nights arriving Sun 25 Oct 2026)
It has a big indoor and outdoor aquatic centre, and it’s close to the seaside town of Bénodet and its beaches. Brittany is also an easy drive from the Roscoff and St Malo ferries.
Bella Italia, Peschiera, Lake Garda
From £277.55 (7 nights arriving Sat 24 Oct 2026)
Lake Garda in autumn! Gardaland is around ten minutes away, and it’s a good base for Verona or even Venice on a day trip.
Les Dunes, Torreilles, Roussillon
From £307.72 (7 nights arriving Sat 24 Oct 2026)
A parc right by the Mediterranean in the south of France, so you’ve the best chance of some late sunshine. Perpignan is nearby and you can nip over the Spanish border for the day.
Camping De Twee Bruggen, Winterswijk, Netherlands
From £335.31 (7 nights arriving Sun 25 Oct 2026)
A spacious, polished Dutch parc with indoor and outdoor pools, slides, toddler areas, bowling and a play farm. It feels nice and calm without being boring.
Riva Bella, Ouistreham, Normandy
From £343.91 (7 nights arriving Sat 24 Oct 2026)
It has a heated indoor pool plus waterslides, and it’s just a short drive to the beach. The Portsmouth to Caen ferry lands right in Ouistreham, so it’s about as easy as France gets.
De Schatberg, Sevenum, Netherlands
From £384.44 (7 nights arriving Sun 25 Oct 2026)
A children’s paradise with a tropical indoor pool, slides and rapids, plus a lake beach. Toverland theme park is around 20 minutes away too, so there’s plenty to keep kids busy whatever the weather.

Is Eurocamp open for October half term?
Some parcs are, but a lot close in September. Everything on this page was open and bookable for arrivals on 24 and 25 October 2026 when I checked.
Will the pools be open in October?
Outdoor pools often close or run shorter hours by late October, so look for a parc with an indoor or covered pool. Always check the parc page for your dates.
Where’s warmest for October half term?
The south: Rome, the Roussillon coast and Lake Garda will usually be warmer than Normandy, Brittany or the Netherlands.
